If you use a facial cleanser for your face, use it on your neck as well. Unlike your arms and legs, your face and neck require a gentler solution, because they tend to dry out when you use harsh body soap.

And while you’re at it, make sure you always use an upward motion when you cleanse your face and neck — why give gravity a helping hand?

Once a week or so, you should also exfoliate your neck and decolletage. Doing this helps slough off dry, dead skin cells and encourages new cell growth. The result is fresher, brighter, tighter, younger-looking skin.

Know your lotions

All skin is not created equal, and that goes for your face and neck, too. The skin between your chest and chin is thinner than other skin and isn’t connected to any bone structure. Tongue depressor

Look at the ceiling with your head back and press your tongue to the roof of your mouth. This engages your neck muscles.

Kiss the ceiling

Again, start by tilting your head back and looking at the ceiling, then pucker your lips as far out as you can for about 10 seconds. Repeat 10 times.

These may or may not remove your horizontal lines, but they definitely tone your neck muscles.

Stop spraying

Every time you spritz perfume on your neck, you’re drying it out and giving wrinkles and lines a chance to move in.

Confine your cologne to your wrists, inner elbows, and behind your knees for worry-free perfumerie.

Keep your head up

Smartphones have revolutionized the way we communicate — and they may also be aging you prematurely. One of the biggest culprits in your neck line dilemma is bending your head too much for too long. When you tuck your neck to read your texts or play games on your phone, especially for long periods of time, the creases tend to stay. In fact, there’s even a name for it — tech neck.

You can help yourself out by being mindful of the amount of time you spend hunched over your phone, and when you must use it, at least lift it up to eye level.

With that in mind, it’s a good idea to check the height and angle of your computer, too. If you find yourself bending your neck to get a good view, make a simple adjustment that keeps your neck straight and line-free.
